The Virtual Mind Centre offers group therapy programs, our group therapy programs are a form of psychotherapy where a small group of people (usually 6 to 8) meet each week, for 6 to 8 weeks. Our groups are psychoeducational and skills-based groups, where we teach about different conditions and provide every-day practical skills that give participants a tool kit to manage problems. The benefit of group therapy is that you not only get an opportunity to develop or strengthen skills but learn from other peers about what might have worked for them. Each group is facilitated by a registered psychologist that draws on the skills of the psychologist, whilst also leaning into the lived experiences of group members.
We currently deliver a CBT based program for Social Anxiety. A CBT based program for Depression and mindfulness skill based group. Groups are delivered periodically through out the year based on waitlist demands.
