The Virtual mind centre is an online virtual clinic, providing psychological services, including telehealth treatment, psycho-social recovery support sessions and/or vocational counselling. We can support adults and young people with a variety of challenges, including:

Our Psychologists are all registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and are accredited to provide services under Medicare, NSW Workcover, CTP and Private health insurance.

Telehealth

Telehealth is a means of delivering therapy online and virtually (via video or telephone). Research tells us that telehealth can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy (Batastine et, al. 2021), with a large body of research finding no difference in outcomes between virtual services and face-to-face therapy for adults’ treatment for depression anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, and adjustment disorder (Brand et al, 2019).

Telehealth is approved as a valid method of service delivery for Medicare, NDIS recipients, and WorkCover claims. Private Insurance also accepts Telehealth as a valid treatment modality (depending on your level of cover). 

Telehealth removes barriers and opens up flexibility in how and where you can engage with therapy. It also opens up access to individuals who may live in rural or remote locations. This means you can access mental health assessment, treatment or support from the comfort of your own home or another location of your choice.

To get the most out of your telehealth sessions, we recommend that you chose a location that feels safe, is quite and free from distraction. We will help create a safe, therapeutic virtual space where you can be you, and share or discuss as little or as much as you are comfortable with.
